Dear brothers and sisters
Welcome again to the New Year! Last year, 2020, was a year of survival. This year, 2021, is a year of evangelisation. Our scripture for January was “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me… to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.”
Through the week of prayer and fasting we received prophetic words that the Lord is wanting us to return to Him with all our heart, He is wanting us to rebuild His House and to “bring good news to the poor….”
In response to this I want to clarify again where we are at with regard to our Gatherings and our Cell Groups. Of course we are still under restrictions which will continue to change, and we’ll continue to keep you informed as we go along – but our FOCUS FOR THIS YEAR is to seek the Lord, to reconnect with each other, to reach out to our visitors and to rebuild God’s house. For this reason:
OUR GATHERINGS:
We are trying to encourage everyone to get back to physically attending the Gathering at the Centre. For those who have been unable to come due to the fact that they are elderly or not well I want to applaud you for your faithfulness to watching on livestream. I know there are many of you who have been doing this because you can’t come and this is wonderful.
If you are not in that category, ie. sick or elderly, I encourage you to start coming along each week if possible. Last Sunday we have been able to increase once again our intake to 115 for each Gathering, God willing this will be able to increase again hopefully in a couple of weeks.
Something happens when we come together in the one place to worship the Lord and fellowship with each other. This is a blessing not only to ourselves personally but to our entire community.
CELL GROUPS:
Our groups begin again this Wednesday. We encourage you to meet together in homes rather than Zoom. Of course there are reasons why some may not be able to physically be present and will need to still Zoom, and that is okay. If this is you please speak with your Cell group leader.
However, for the majority of us, it’s important that we physically come together. To assist in making this possible we are trying to reduce the sizes of the groups to make it possible to meet in homes. Your Cell group leaders will be in touch to let you know of any changes that may affect you. It is good to meet in homes because there is greater freedom to sing and be together.
Thanks again for journeying with us on this great adventure in God. I’m looking forward with anticipation of what the Lord is going to do this year.
God bless you all.
Joseph Chircop
Senior Leader
