Dear brothers and sisters
 
 "We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace." Col 1:3-6

I was reading this Scripture a few days ago and it reminded me of our journey. I want to encourage you for the faith you have and the willingness you have to continue this journey with our wonderful Lord and Saviour and proclaim His Word through word and action.

Despite the current crisis affecting not only us but the entire world, the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ continues to spread. We are part of this and we, as a community and, being part of Servants Friends International, are effecting lives beyond our shores. 

What a blessing it is to share the Gospel!

Thanks Ben for your encouraging story, we continue to stand, united in prayer, for all our brothers and sisters in great need. 

During this turbulent and messy season it's good to be reminded of, and reflect again, on the words that the Lord has spoken to us in 2021. Nothing surprises Him, He sustains all in His Mighty Hands. 

And finally, another word from our Lord who is encouraging us, to reach out to ‘the one,” to share the good news of Jesus with the one, to share words of hope, comfort and encouragement.

Isaiah 35:3-4
“Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”

Let's be encouraged as we keep our eyes on Him, our Mighty Saviour.

Our cluster has been running the Alpha Course online for the last several weeks. This was in response to a desire from our people to ‘reach out to the one’ and to have a suitable meeting to invite new people too.
 
The Loftus Cluster prayed and many people were invited to come along. The local barista was invited more than once by separate people! In the end we had 10 visitors and 7 of these were completely new to Servants of Jesus. We’ve lost a few along the way so now have 7 visitors remaining.
 
Alpha online is super easy to run with all the content & resources being provided by Alpha Australia ( www.alpha.org.au ) Each session runs for about 1 to 1.5 hours and is held on Zoom. 
 
The content of the course is SO GOOD!!! It’s simply brilliant, fun, interesting and very anointed. Conversation flows easily and people are really impacted. 
 
I cannot recommend Alpha Online highly enough. It feels so good to be actually ‘in the game’ and sharing the gospel with new people that Jesus just loves so much! Why not give it a try? 

We started running Alpha online a number of weeks ago. The quality of the series has been EXCELLENT! We have 2 visitors coming along each week. Last week one of our visitors was mightily touched by the Lord. It's a blessing to be part of this and to witness the Lord in action.

"Participating in the course “Making love our aim” belongs to the category of life changing. These few months, since I responded to the invitation from my good friend, allowed me to see how God has started to open up the doors, which I always wanted to cross but really didn’t know how. Agreeing to the course, a stepping out in faith (which really means stepping out of my comfort zone), gave permission to God to work in me and through me.

Whilst I was focusing on one thing at the time, God was working on many areas of my heart, memory, and life. The teaching, guidance and encouragement of Chrissy and Harry created a safe platform for sharing the hidden movements of God in my life, and likewise, listening to others’ problems and difficulties in faith, inspired me to give God a chance and reinforced my faith that I am loved by God with an everlasting love. I have not been disappointed.

The new ways of God in me increased my intimate relationship with Him and a great desire for more of God in my life, more availability for God, more walking in God’s presence and searching for opportunities to serve God in others, with whatever gifts the Holy Spirit desires to raise in me.

Meeting so many great people, who have the same desire for God, gives me a great assurance that God truly prepares a revival in the Church and in the world."

What a personal blessing it has been for me to participate in the Making Love our Aim online course Chrissy has run on Zoom over the past 6 weeks. It has given me a real revelation of how we all have a place in the body of Christ and how we are all called to take our place to outreach, strengthen, encourage, and comfort others. 

The course highlighted to me that each of us is blessed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and our spiritual life becomes a practical, loving one when we activate these gifts that are given to all of us freely. Through the course, I have learnt how to practically apply hearing the voice of God, praying for others, and giving words, praying for healing in a natural way, and doing so as myself. We all know this, but it was the practical application in the course that made it so worthwhile to do.

Chrissy not only teaches and imparts her practical wisdom and experiences, but also shares of her personal testimony, the course is encouraging and inclusive. The course being run on Zoom worked really well as you were in a small group that made it comfortable to share, question, make mistakes and learn in a safe environment. I encourage you to enrol in the next course being offered. Your life will be blessed! 

I have just completed the online course “Making Love Our Aim”. It was a warm welcoming environment albeit on zoom.

I am now confident God is speaking to me in different ways that I was not tuned into before which is so exciting. I am more alert and aware of possibilities that I now don’t want to miss and pray for divine appointments.

I loved the practical lessons on prophecy and how to pray for the sick outside of the Christian environment.

I felt humbled to be given this opportunity.
