“One Sabbath Jesus was passing through the grainfields, and His disciples began to pick the heads of grain as they walked along.  So the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?.....
……Then Jesus declared, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.” Mark 2: 22-28
The Sabbath day is one of the anchors in our Christian life that keeps us focused and grounded. In today’s world however it can often be pushed aside as our lives get busier and busier.
 
The Lord instituted the Sabbath in the Jewish Law as one of the Ten 
Commandments. As Gentile Christians we believe that this commandment still has to be given it’s worth. 
 
While we don’t have to abide by the Law we mustn’t lose sight of the spirit of the Sabbath. For Christians, it’s usually held on Sunday, however it can be held any day. It’s where we cease from work and spend time with God and family. 
 
Keeping in mind that “the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath”, as Jesus declared, it’s for our benefit that we don’t overlook this very necessary part of our Christian life. 
 
Let’s be deliberate in making it a priority – each week - to cease from our usual activities and give this precious time to God and our family.

Servants of Jesus Community has been involved in a number of outreaches over the past few months:

1. IRELAND 
Joe recently gave a talk via Zoom for TJC11 Ireland. 

2. USA 
Joe and Julie gave two pre-recorded talks: one for Charismatic Leaders Fellowship in Augusta USA, (with time for Q and A); and one  for the American Covenant Communities. Both were presented via Zoom with Q and A live.

3. CANBERRA  
Julie spoke at a women's meeting in Canberra which was very powerful. Both Joe and Julie prayed for a new impartation of the Holy Spirit at a separate meeting in Canberra. 

Richard Martin spoke at a meeting last Tuesday which was also very powerful. 

4. ALPHA
Alpha is currently being run in 4 different areas of Servants. It's going well.

5. AIM TO LOVE SCHOOL 
Malta - Families for Christ Community
(Ran school via zoom & booking in two more zoom activation sessions this year).
Uganda 
Have people attending on zoom from CCR regions all over Uganda & some from Kenya.
Australia
Running school via Zoom on Tuesday evenings with people from Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney.
We have been invited to visit some prayer groups in Melbourne as a follow - up from the school.

Running a school 10am - 2pm every Thursday at the SOJ Centre.
This is our first live school.
