Children/Wildfire

“Let the little children come to me, and

do not hinder them for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them.”

Matthew 19:14

Children’s Ministry: For primary school aged children.

Just as children are important to God, they are important to us at the Servants of Jesus Community. We are multi-generational community (with members ranging across four generations). Raising Godly children is a core value of our community life. Our aim is to support parents in bringing up their children in Christ. This happens primarily through formation of parents, and secondly through providing a nurturing Christian environment that allows children to develop the gifts and talents that God has given them.

Our other yearly events include:

Kids Conference: As part of our annual community Share the Holy Spirit conference. Held over four days, the children participate in a variety of fun activities, worship and games, ending with a combined concert at our centre.

Praise Day: Children are invited to come to our centre to participate in a fun day of praise, worship and games.

Big Day Out: This day is specially dedicated to children with special needs. Individual care will be provided. Children with special needs are invited to come to our centre for a day of praise, worship and games.

All children ministry leaders are members of Servants of Jesus Community and undertake child protection and leadership training and must have a current Working With Children number.

Children/Wildfire Leader: Jess Maldigri

Jess has a passion to see God empower children of all ages and she has taken on the role of children’s ministry leader at Servants of Jesus.
She grew up in community and has experienced the benefits of knowing God from an early age. It is that which has fuelled her passion to see children know God and grow in the Holy Spirit. Jess’s career is also directed to this end having completed a Bachelor of Primary (Religious) Education  at the University of Notre Dame.
